Information concerning COVID-19

We at DRIVERS CLUB are aware that the outbreak of COVID-19 (coronavirus) is currently impacting the global community. Every day we feel the effects of this situation in our private and professional life, with national authorities taking extraordinary measures to contain the pandemic of the COVID-19. We know that this situation also raises uncertainty among our customers. Therefore, we want you to know that:

We are constantly monitoring the situation and, together with the responsible authorities, making decisions with a specially established coordination center. This includes measures we are taking to prevent the potential spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), so that we can always offer the best possible protection for our customers and employees.

Some of the measures we are taking to ensure the highest standards are:

Enhanced Cleaning Procedures

What steps are being taken to clean the rental cars?

Clean vehicles have always been important to us, but at this moment in time, we know vehicle cleanliness is even more critical.

That’s why we have modified our cleaning procedures using recommendations from various health authorities.

On top of vacuuming and general wipe-down cleaning, we are sanitizing with disinfectant key areas like the following:

  • Key & key fob
  • Center console
  • Cupholders & compartments
  • Seat surfaces & pockets
  • Areas between seat/console & seat/doorjambs
  • Dashboard
  • Instrument panels
  • Steering wheel & column
  • Accessory panel
  • Door interiors & pockets
  • Door handles (interior & exterior)
  • Mirrors
  • And other high-touch areas

We also have measures in place to immediately isolate and quarantine any vehicle if needed.

What is DRIVERS CLUB doing to protect and reduce risk during this Coronavirus outbreak?

Employees working in open branch locations are following the best practices recommended by the World Health Organization and other health authorities to help protect and reduce risk during this Coronavirus outbreak. These practices include:

  • Limiting the number of employees in a location
  • Using social distancing
  • Staying home if they are feeling ill
  • Frequently washing hands
  • Frequently sanitizing touchable surfaces with disinfectant
  • Using disposable gloves and a disinfectant when cleaning vehicles
  • Minimizing customer interaction at vehicle pickup or delivery
  • Ensuring local teams have supplies and resources needed

We also ask customers to self-certify prior to their rental to confirm they are not under a quarantine for COVID-19, currently diagnosed with COVID-19, showing symptoms of COVID-19 or living with/been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for the virus.

Additionally, all employees have been made aware that if they ever feel uncomfortable with working in a physical location, they are under absolutely no obligation to work.
